You can get different adults depending on the way you care for it as a kid. If you look after it perfectly you'd probably get a Mametchi.
Jock: Never feed it snacks and when you feed it, exercise the weight off by playing games. You get Hanatchi. (below)
Mametchi and Mimitchi: Treat your tama PERFECTLY. Don't ever let it's happiness hearts go below 1 and never ever let it sleep with a poo. Don't pause it too often or connect with the same gender. A little mistake that's undoable (see reseting page) will damage you possibility of getting a mame. Don't snack unless it won't play game. Train with every chance you get. When it's the day your tama becomes an adult, make sure you have full training points. That will almost garantee you a good tama.(Unless you don't do the above)
If you can't get a mametchi cos you made a small mistake, don't worry, you'll get the second best ones like voiletchi or memetchi.

Be absolutely certain that you're on full training points. Then you could get a Mimitchi/Mametchi match, and you'll have a purebred family!!!! (V5 ONLY)
Playboy: Only connect with the opposite gender and marry a few times. You'll only get to keep one baby though.
Kuchipatchi: Let it sleep beside poos, discipline well, and leave some hearts empty.
To get a couch potato, which is Gozuratchi or Masktchi, never exercise your tamagotchi, feed it snacks to make it happy.
To get Bill, a secret character, get Masktchi and wait for it to grow old until it's 8-12 years old and it will change to Bill. If it doesn't by 12 years old, then it won't change.
